For public health and safety, please follow directions from staff while on-site. Enclosed shoes must be worn.

Threatening or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated, and staff reserve the right to refuse entry to customers who do not adhere to instructions.

If you are bringing in a mixed load, please separate the waste streams (general waste, green waste, recyclables) into different piles in your vehicle/trailer prior to visiting the site to make unloading more efficient and increase material recovery.

The site is primarily for residential use. Commercial vehicles larger than 4.2m may be refused entry depending on the amount and type of waste for disposal. We recommend calling prior to attending site to confirm that there is capacity to facilitate the request (this is a transfer facility and not a landfill). Customers need to adhere to the direction provided by the EMRC.

TIP PASSES FOR CITY OF BAYSWATER RESIDENTS

Tip passes collected from the City of Bayswater are for use at the Baywaste Transfer Station and Recycling Centre. Tip passes allow for the disposal of:

  • General waste up to 300kg or;
  • Green waste up to 300kg or;
  • Mixed general and green waste up to 300kg (loads need to be separated) or;
  • Mattresses and mattress bases (maximum of 2 items)

Construction and demolition waste is not accepted with a tip pass.

ITEMS ACCEPTED FREE OF CHARGE FOR RESIDENTS

The following items can be dropped off by residents for free without a tip pass, however proof of residency (drivers’ licence or rates notice) will need to be shown upon entry to the site:

  • Aerosol cans (empty only – no spray paint cans) – maximum of 10 items
  • Bicycles (Bicycles for Humanity) - maximum of 5
  • Cardboard (flattened) – residential quantities only – ute/trailer load
  • Polystyrene (expanded only) - residential quantities only – ute/trailer load
  • Vehicle lead acid batteries – maximum of 10 items
  • Scrap metal - residential quantities only – ute/trailer load
  • Waste oil - up to 20L
  • E-waste - maximum of 10 items (see examples of accepted items below)

*Batteries will need to be removed from devices and disposed of separately. The Baywaste Transfer Station andRecycling Centre does not accept any batteries other than vehicle lead acid batteries. To find the nearest drop off point for batteries, visit B-cycle.
